Summer Teams 2009

In Summer 2009 we are planning to send teams to several countries.   Team members will have opportunity to work alongside experienced missionaries. Many who have gone on our teams in the past tell of how God blessed and challenged them, giving them a deeper insight into missionary work, as well as letting them see some of the joys and difficulties that missionaries face in their daily service.

If you are interested in finding out more about our summer teams or you would like an application form, click  http://www.ufm.org.uk/teams.html . Alternatively, you can contact our Belfast office (Details below).

Our youth weekend is aimed at those young people from age 15+ who have an interest in Mission or who would like to find out more about missionary work. The programme will include Bible ministry from our Speaker, John Mark Teeuwen, and reports from several of our missionaries.

Plan to come to enjoy fellowship and fun with other young people over the weekend while at the same time learning from God’s Word and being challenged about how you might serve Him better.

Publication: 'Blue Skies Over Africa' - Read the real life story of Maizie Smyth (UFM missionary to Democratic Republic of Congo)

Blue Skies over Africa

UFM missionaries have worked in the Democratic Republic of Congo for more than seventy years through times of political revolution and spiritual revival.  Tens of thousands of Congolese have trusted in Christ as their saviour and thousands of churches have been established.  Behind this growth and development lies the sacrificial living and dedicated service of pioneers, church planters, doctors, nurses and many other missionaries who have faithfully served their Lord in fellowship with their Congolese brothers and sisters.
Maizie Smyth's story encapsulates UFM's ministry in Congo.  She is highly respected by her colleagues, greatly used by God and claimed by the Africans as their own.  Her story will challenge your love for Christ, inspire your faith and make you smile.  (Peter Milsom, Director of UFM Worldwide)

Copies of the book are available for purchase from the Belfast Office at £7.99 each.  All profits from the book purchased through the office will go to the work in Congo.  For more details contact our Belfast office at the number below.
